CEC offers a comprehensive, college-preparatory curriculum, including Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) level coursework.
The Center for Student Leadership is Conwell-Egan's newest initiative to help students discover and develop their leadership skills. The CSL will provide one-of-a-kind programs that both challenge and reward CEC students.
The arts are a reflection of humanity and the CEC Fine Arts program aims to give students the opportunity to better understand themselves and the world around them.
From freshman to senior year, our students participate in a myriad of activities, clubs, community service projects and more where the main purpose is to make you feel "at home" here at CEC.
Students wishing to be considered for admission must sit for the eighth-grade scholarship/entrance exam. It is a requirement for the Class of 2023.
The Eighth Grade Scholarship/Entrance Exam is the basis for awarding CEC Academic Scholarships and also assists with placement.
*PLEASE NOTE: The 2020 Scholarship/Entrance Exam will be administered ONLINE (virtually).
We offer an additional spring test date for students unable to sit for the exam in the fall, however, those results are only used for placement. They are not used in consideration for scholarships.
It is a requirement that all incoming freshmen sit for either the fall or spring exam. Please click the link below to register for your preferred test date. There is a $45 non-refundable fee to CEC.
