We are committed to working with all families seeking an affordable, values-based, Catholic education.

Conwell-Egan Catholic High School offers a number of ways to make Catholic education affordable to our students, who come to us from Bucks County, Northeast Philadelphia, and central New Jersey communities located in Burlington and Mercer County, including Trenton, Ewing, Hamilton, and Lawrenceville Townships.

Presidential Academic Scholarships

Each year, the Presidential Advancement team offers scholarships to incoming freshmen based on academic achievement. The scholarship test is open to students in 8th Grade. Up to 50 scholarships are awarded. In addition, a 7th grade practice test will be held to prepare the 7th grade students for the upcoming year. Skip Duffy Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Must be an incoming freshman in the Class of 2022
  • Student must be in good academic standing in current school
  • Financial Need (Finalists will be required to submit a financial aid application through PSAS Requirements)
  • Student must be registered to attend Conwell-Egan Catholic HS in September 2018 in the Class of 2022 Student must attach a one-page letter, stating why he/she wants to attend CEC. Please include with that letter any school, community, and extra-curricular activities in which you are involved. Name at least one particular accomplishment you are proud of.
  • Student must maintain a "B" average or better each semester while attending CEC to maintain eligibility.
Value

The award is $2,000.00 one year scholarship that is applied directly to tuition.

Selection

Selection of the scholarship award will be determined by the Duffy family and any members of a committee chosen by them.

All applications must be submitted to Conwell-Egan Catholic High School by February 1, 2018.

Maguire Scholars Program

The Maguire Foundation, in partnership with the Faith in the Future Foundation ("Foundation"), will award $3,000 per-year scholarships to six students registered at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School. The current program is specific to Freshmen entering the Class of 2022 as of Fall 2018. The scholarship is renewable for each of the four years of high school, given that the Maguire Scholar maintains standards consistent with the qualifications listed below. If the scholar receives a minimum GPA of 3.0, or the equivalent thereof as specified by the Office of Catholic Education, on their final freshman/9th grade report card, the student's scholarship will increase to $3,000 for the following academic year.

Neumann Scholars Program

This is an invite-only exam. These are four-year, full tuition scholarships awarded to entering ninth graders based on the results of an Archdiocesan-wide scholarship testing program. The program is sponsored by and funded through the generosity of the Connelly Foundation. Participation is handled through the parish elementary schools and awards are made on a vicariate basis.

The 2017 Neumann Scholarship Test will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017.

Gifts from Gwyn Scholarship

Conwell-Egan Catholic High School is proud to offer one incoming freshman in the Class of 2022 from Holy Family Regional school a $1,000 scholarship for the 2018-2019 school year.

Eligibility

  • Open to all incoming freshmen in the Class of 2022 from Holy Family Regional
  • Student must be in good academic and disciplinary standing
  • Student must submit an Application for Admission to CEC

Criteria

  • Students may submit an art piece inspired by the theme "Friendship" or "Random Acts of Kindness"
  • Pieces may be submitted in the form of a poem, drawing, video, or songSelections will be made by a scholarship committee.

DLFF

The Danaher Lynch Family Foundation is pleased to offer the DLFF/CEC Scholarship for the Class of 2022 at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School. As firm believers in the importance of Catholic education in the Bucks County area, DLFF supports the quality educational experience that Conwell-Egan Catholic High School offers our community.

Scholarships will be awarded to as many as 25 recipients and the application process is open to any 8th grade student interested in applying to Conwell-Egan Catholic High School. This is a $2,000 award that will be renewable each year at CEC if the student remains in good academic and financial standing at the end of each school year.

Scholarship Application Process: Two types of scholarships are available: Traditional and Fine Arts. All applications will be reviewed by the DLFF Scholarship team as well as the CEC Fine Arts team for designated Fine Arts awards.

Szwak Family Scholarship

CEC is proud to announce an additional scholarship opportunity for the Class of 2022. The Szwak Family Scholarship Foundation will offer four (4) incoming freshmen a four-year $4,000 scholarship.

Please see the attached scholarship application and guidelines. The deadline to apply for the scholarship is February 1, 2018.

Eligibility
Open to all incoming freshmen in the Class of 2022

Criteria for Selection

  • Academic Ability: Must maintain at 3.0 or higher average while at CEC.
  • Discipline: Must maintain passing grade in conduct while at CEC.
  • Personal Growth and Development: Must be involved in at least one extracurricular activity or athletics.
  • Financial Need: Student must submit at SmartAid Financial Aid application and qualify for financial assistance.
  • Student must be accepted and enrolled at CEC for the 2018-2019 school year.

Value
The award is a four-year $4,000.00 scholarship that is applied directly to tuition.

Selection
The scholarship committee will determine selection of the scholarship award.

Monsignor Mitchell Scholarship

Monsignor Mitchell Scholarship

The Monsignor Mitchell Scholarship Fund supports high school students in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia who are Catholic and African-American, with academic ability and financial need. One (or more, if economically feasible) one-year scholarship(s), up to $2,000, will be awarded annually based upon the determination of the Selection Committee. Student recipients must reapply each year.

All applications must be submitted to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia by March 15, 2018

Richard A. Venne Scholarship

A four-year $2,000 scholarship awarded to one (1) incoming freshman in the Class of 2022. Application requirements include a one-page letter, academic achievement, and financial need.

The award is a four-year $2,000.00 scholarship that is applied directly to tuition.

Selection
The scholarship committee will determine selection of the scholarship award.

The Northeast Catholic Alumni Scholarship Fund

Twenty grants are awarded to 8th grade students who plan to attend an Archdiocesan high school.

  • 5 @ $20,000
  • 5 @ $16,000
  • 5 @ $12,000
  • 5 @ $8,0000

These grants are payable in equal semi-annual installments over their four years of high school.

All grants are awarded on the basis of academic ability and financial need. The students must meet minimum academic criteria each semester as ascertained by the school submitting their academic transcripts to the fund at the end of January and end of the school year.
